Globe valves an fittings

Post by flavinny »

Can anyone suggest a vendor to supply valves and fittings ? I found some to provide unmachined pipe fittings and some fabricated valves but they are not what I am looking for. Coles carried a line I think their name was True Scale, they were good quality and priced right.

LocoParts has a wide range of valves to include globe valves, angle valves, manifold valves and etc. The bodies are constructed of lost wax silicone bronze castings. The web page is LocoParts.biz.

Eccentric Engineer has great looking fittings. At this time they will need to be tapped or counterbored and soldered.

I have found that couterboring works better than drilling.

I second the suggestions of PM research for valves and Eccentric Engineer for fittings. The PMR valves work great and I haven’t had a single issue with the 17 valves I’ve bought from them.
The EE fittings look great but I suggest drilling and brazing then rather than threading them. With the small elbows especially it’s hard to get the MTP taps to make two holes 90 degrees apart
