battle for the hill

Post by Steam Engine Dan »

well guys, it may not be the famous battle on Sherman Hill, but it's pretty darn close. the sights and sounds are still pretty good.

I saw no black object. I did see a large transformer, equipped with a GE logo, but it was gray. What did I miss?
Note that I did see the custom railcar, which was black in color.

The scale is so good you'd think it is a full size train with some giant people on it!

My thoughts as well. I was overly impressed with the entire train.

Wow! Impressive. Thanks for sharing, Dan! Glad to see the 4005 on the rails and in steam. Looks like he also bought a lot of Tom's freight rolling stock as well. Looks great. Bet she'll pull a lot more than 17 freight cars, lol.

Thought that looked like Tom Miller's depressed center flat with the transformer. Didn't realize Tom had sold that off. Glad to know it has found another "caregiver". That's the 2nd transformer to be built...patterned after this original...

Was contacted several months ago by some folks in FL that are building a similar transformer load. Carl B.
