Paducah Steam Fire Engine Painting

The attachment shows another picture on the Paducah Seawall. Note that you can see the painted on frame in this pic and if you look, one of the firemen has his fire axe apparently resting on the non-existant frame top.

Down in Mobile, Alabama at the Phoenix Fireman's Museum, they have/had two of these engines on display, one of which was worked under pressure to keep water pumped out of the excavation when they were building the Bankhead Tunnel that runs under Mobile Bay.

I bet it was a busy little steamer unless the seepage was pretty small.
