1.6" Westinghouse Cross Compound Air Compressors

Post by AnthonyDuarte »

Hi Everyone,

I'm very pleased to announce that Eccentric Engineer has taken ownership of the tooling for Ed Yungling's 1.6" Westinghouse Cross Compound air compressors.

I truly believe these are the finest compressors ever modeled for our hobby. They are extremely faithful to the prototype, and the molds were very masterfully made. I'm honored to have the opportunity to make them available to our hobby.

If all goes well at the foundry with these few test waxes, you can expect to see castings for sale in a few months.

Stay tuned!
Anthony Duarte

Anthony maybe you should talk to Brian Keim you have the castings and he has the experience and parts to get them running .

You could offer them as working compressors kits . ( you both do amazing work , might be a good joint venture )

Ken Seymours compressors run , I have 2 of his I built and have run one of them but at this stage I have not put a lot of effort into

getting them to run properly and with Brian doing a lot of work on this issue , we all know his workmanship so just waiting for the final outcome

like a few others .

Just a thought
