Is it better to have all of the steam/water supply lines the same size or different? Looking at old LE plans, they say 3/16 steam valve to 5/32" tubing to the injector. Water is 3/16 in, combined out is 5/32, reduced to 3/16 to boiler valve. Looking at several injectors online (Reeves, EE, and others), same oboe size on all.
Trying to do it right the 1st time....

Re: Injector piping question
I've always made my lines the same size: Steam, water, and outlet, and my injectors have worked really good, with the exception of one English injector that turned out to be a low-pressure injector. It's hard to get an injector that was made for 100 PSI max operating pressure to pick up at 120 PSI! All the injectors that I have installed or ever fooled with have had the same size fittings on each location.
Re: Injector piping question
Thank you. I will plan for 3/16 piping

Re: Injector piping question
Never hurts to go one size larger. What type/size injector are you going to be using?
Re: Injector piping question
Was looking at EE 1” scale injector. It has options of 3/16” or 1/4” on all connections.

Re: Injector piping question
When I replaced my English injector for A small EE injector I used the existing 3/16 steam and 1/4 inlet and out water lines and it works great from 40 to 105 psi no more stopping to fiddle with the injector when the axle pump gets behind .
