.032 copper tubing

Post by hoppercar »

Was looking on msc catalog for some 5/16 copper tubing to plumb up my injectors. They have it with .049 wall thickness and .032 at almost half the cost of the .049......I'm wondering if .032 would be ok ?

It's OK to use for the pressures we have. But if you want to thread it, the 0.049" is a whole lot better. That's about all it boils down to.

The thinner wall tubing doesn't flare well if that is your connection method.

No flares, just silver soldering too the tubing connectors for the injector and check valves
