Yep 5001 on the steaming bay. Just had the honor of bringing the legend back to life and being the first to pull the throttle on it since Frank Mann.

Looked like an Allen 2-4-0 appeared several times. There can’t be that many of them around! Is this the same one as the “barn find” 2-4-0 in the “Build Log” forum?

The 2-4-0 is numbered 609. I went back in the “barn find” thread and found this:
So, I think it may well be the same loco.I was just reading the January 1977 issue of Live Steam magazine and on page 41 is a large advertisement for the sale of what I think is your engine. It was numbered 609 at the time, and was being sold by a K.V. Hackman of Arcadia, California.

An earlier post mentioned the name "Pergande".
Their name and the engine should show up in LALS records around 1970 or before.
As best I remember, Pergande, father and son, were the original owners of this 2-4-0. It was most likely built from Bob Harpur's parts.

Donald Pergande has been a friend of the family for 50+ years, he had mentioned his dad and him had an engine. I'll have to go visit him and show the film. He welded up the boiler on my dad's Pacific plus helped with some other work. Won't be able to go see him for a little bit, his wife just had shoulder surgery today so he'll be a bit busy.
Speaking of my dad, anyone remember Al Harley?

I remember your Dad Al. He helped me with making new slide valves for my American as well as show me some basic machining. How is he doing?

Unfortunately he passed away October 2017 due to cancer, my mom is gone as well, cancer. I'm packing up and leaving for Arizona this year, moving the business there too. Figured there was a chance he might be known by someone on here

Sorry to hear about your Dad Brian. He was always helpful to me when I came to the shop in Paradise.

Thanks Kevin, last thing he worked on in the shop was parts for the Shay. Once the move is done, I'll pick back up where he left off.
