Does anyone have a complete list of issues of the magazine? I have some but not all, and have heard that in the last year or so it got hit or miss when issues came out. Thanks.

There used to be one on DLS... Then it went missing. I poked around and found it on the IBLS WIKI... But that is incomplete. But I have a general list of issues on my phone so I can keep an eye out when certain issues come across my hands... and buy or pass on.

I'm focused on the T12 issues right now. But interested in the boxcab issues as well... Slowly populating those.

FWIW, the C&O Tech Society inherited teh rights to a the Modeltec magazines. They are more than accommodating for a small donation.

Thank you for the info, PRR5406. I had not heard about the COHS getting the magazine. I've had a number of inquiries about availability in the past - now I know what to reply.

Heaven forbid!!

I have thought about that problem. Part of the work of the IBLS has been to preserve live-steam related websites that have disappeared. This is accomplished largely with the help of archive.org.

Other than making sure we have a succession of IBLS Secretaries, how else can we preserve the knowledge recorded in websites like this and the IBLS?

Perhaps, the information on the IBLS could be offered as a purchasable DVD once a year, or, once every two years. People would at least have a "hard" copy of the information presented at the website. Information in Modeltec is largely unknown except to folks that used to subscribe. Since I do not have a full set of Modeltec, the information published there is pretty much useless, it is as if it never existed. How sad.

Modeltec published an index on a CD in 2000 covering volumes 1-16. I have a copy, but maybe COHS could provide one if they own the rights.

I'd love to get a copy of that index!
