2019 Big Boy schedule

Post by Greg_Lewis »

Hey folks, here's a link to the schedule for the Big Boy this summer. If you have never stood next to one of these, you need to. It will make you feel very small.

It is one beautiful locomotive !!!! I'm sure it looks better than when it came from Alco. And that double header was something to see, never thought it would happen.

Unbelievable what the optimistic UP team is planning! A lot of opportunities to enjoy that Big Engine which may not come again for sure.
Whised I where there (not overseas here in Europe)!

Truly amazing that the U.P Big Boy #4014 is steaming again!
I look forward to being trackside during one its voyages.

Equally amazing is the restoration on Baldwin's smallest Mallet, SKOOKUM. 2-4-4-2.
I rode it during steam tests in May this year, in Garibaldi, Oregon, USA.

Two of the most unlikely locomotive restorations , both in my lifetime, both running in 2019 !!
