PMLW 3/4” Scale Trucks

A question....I recently inherited several items from the estate of a long time Live Steam modeler. One of these was a set of Bettendorf trucks in 3/4” scale, with the letters PMLW formed into the side frame castings. Can anyone shed light on this maker? I really have no use for the trucks, and may offer them for sale.

Solar1953, you might try sending a PM to "Comstock-Friend" on this forum. He had the same question as you a couple years ago and might have figured out the origins of his castings.

I have been asked to post photos of these trucks, so here ya go. I can’t explain why the builder chose to use a single spring, or why he never installed journal box covers. But this is the condition they were in when I inherited them.

Ah, I see! Very good! I guess the builder of these trucks may have had that prototype in mind.
