I have been very encouraged by the comments of people keeping an eye out for it
I think that's the reason that our trains almost never get stolen, unless the trailer they are stored in gets stolen. Would-be thieves know if they ever show up anywhere with someone's stolen trains, they will most likely be discovered by someone there. Only safe place would be a private track. We're a pretty tight knit community and people tend to travel around and network quite a bit, so things like that tend to become known. That's one of the good things about this hobby, in my opinion.

Hope you get your property back soon.

John,

Any success in getting your prototype Mars light returned to its rightful owner?

Unfortunately the prototype never showed up. I went through all my stuff when I get home and unpacked and it wasn't in that either.

Nevertheless, a second batch of parts has been ordered that will address the problems with the first prototype. I have confidence this prototype will be fully functional and allow it to be placed on a steam engine for practical testing by the end of the year.
Thanks
