Did you mean the locomotive, the tree, or both? - BG

Now that you mention it, I would have to say both. I was too much in awe of the loco to pay attention to the tree.....

FAN F'n TASTIC !!!

Un believable engine Chris - beautiful -

actually I was surprised to read 2-8-8-8-2

in the large photo I downloaded you really can't see that last wheel and I thougt it was 6-6-6

WOW! -- I'm in awe!

How long did it take to build? What is the bore and stroke on the engines -

Cute - larry curly and moe !

What does it weigh in at? And more - what do you haul it with?

Would love to hear and see it run.

I don't want to ride it - I just want to stand next to it and FEEL it (not even touching it).

I have seen some very large engines - like the big articulated ones used in the Sierras. But I don't recall a trip 8 - Was this a real live full sized engine? Can you direct me to some photos of the full sized engine?

That monster must be a real steam hog ?

Thanks for sharing!

Hi Dave,
This engine is not mine; it is a friend of mine
I am building a engine that is a little easier to build for my first engine

His name is Larry Anderson
It took him a little over to years to built this engine,
He used three plans for the Railroad supply mike drawing to build the chassis.
I believe is the 2 X 4 bore and stroke on all three sets

Here is some links on the Erie triplex
Triplex

Triplex

And. yes it can be a real steam hog,
Larry set this engine to run and simple or compound just by pulling a couple of levers

you could have a chance to she her, as larry is planning on taking it to train mountain in june, Now i cant wait to see that
any ways, let me know if you have any more questions

Hi, Chris
I was the one that had the post on the old board, what I was looking for info on the triplex. Larry built a very nice looking engine. I would bet it pulls as good as it looks. I have started on my triplex frames and drivers. I have the two water pumps that are on the right side done. Thank you for the nice photos.

Hi James,
Yeah i remember you, Sorry for the delay on the pic's.

larry has put all the cars that PNLS has on site and the engine pulls it like it is running by its self
I would like to 100 + cars behind her. than we may be about to hear her talk
