Re: WAsn't there somebody asking about plows?
Yeah, but it sure makes some crunchy cole slaw.
Re: WAsn't there somebody asking about plows?
That's ok, Tom beat me to the punch as well Just plant the carrots and whatever else you like in the slaw, all together and then all you have to do is add vinagar or mayo, which even you like and have at those little pest

Tom and everybody who offered comments about my Groundhog Extinction Society, I use a .22LR Winchester with scope to dispatch the critters and I don't miss them either with the rifle or personally!.

Re: WAsn't there somebody asking about plows?
Unfortunately, the challenge of doing em in one handed with a .44 mag (Super Blackhawk - just like some demented gunslinger) has cut back on my kill ratio a bit - still it provides other amusements.
Last summer out of boredom I took a shot at one WAAAAAAY beyond 100 yards (so I used both hands and steadied her agin a tree). The Ruger said BOOM and ole chuck boy lept about 6 feet straight up, hit the ground, rolled over a coupla times then dove in his hole. (Me, instead of taking a second shot, I'm just standin there like a dummy watchin the acrobatics kinda dumbfounded - I mean I NEVER saw one try to fly away like a bird before.)
Turns out there was a big rock about 1" under the soil where that groundhog was sittin. I didn't get out again after that, so I still don't know whether he was goosed or gelded.

Rock??? What's a rock? We don't got no steenkin' rocks in West Tennesse unless you count the river bed gravel about the size of playing marbles. Snow we got last week, rocks we don't got unless you drill down 1,765 feet. Mud, lots of it right now!
What you need for them chucks is one of the LOSAT missles on the video clip I sent to Fred Rorax. Might not be any visible sign of the chuck after that though!

If this thread keeps going, I think I am going to contact the Guinness Book of World Records.
This is what I find refreshing and so lifelike about this board. A topic gets started and it slowly digressess or metamorphisis into something else. Just like sitting around a nice warm stove and having a chat with some friends.
Of course, the stove feels good after building steam powered snowmen with a nice hot cup of Earl Grey tea.
Thanks Marty! You have provided a place to learn and grow relationships.

Speaking of stoves. . . Do they still make cast iron pot-bellied stoves? I would like to get one if they are still made....

There are other sources; Like Lehmann's non electric catalog
Of course, my brother in law ended up taking his Franklin stove back OUT because their homeowner's insurance threatened to cancel their policy if they used it.
