Jesse:

Just ask my wife. She had to help rotate this 175 pound
piece of pipe when I'd cut through every 20 degrees or
so of it. But thanks for the encouraging comments.

Once it was cut, I did exactly as you did, and cleaned
up both ends on the lathe. I bet I had a lot less to remove
than you did, though.

As for reposting your picture, 1. You can't get too much of
a good thing, and 2. I just linked to your prior post
thereby not requiring any more disk space on the Chaski
board.

Well Bill, I didn't know what had happened bout the photo, but I would hate to be the one responsible for causing the Chaski computer to explode or something!

Speaking of things OT a bit, keep me in mind about that Taylor Mill when it cranks up this year.

Hello Jesse:

Well here ya go...

One thing you folks down in Dixie don't need to worry
about is a cold workshop. That's why I keep my
Russian hat!

Here's the smokebox, cover, and door, all ready to drill, tap,
and bolt together. And of course, (OT) I have not forgotten
about the mill. The water wheel is covered with canvas and
about four feet of snow right now.

Bill, I can see where the fur for that hat came from by looking at the box on the shelf behind you! Well, my outside shop sure ain't warm a whole lot of the time except in the summer and then it is hot as all get out! Other than the torch, 16" lathe, el cheapo band cut off saw, and TIG welder, everything else is in the heated/aircond basement shop so I can work anytime I want to. Waterwheel, yeah! I surely want a video of that wheel turning and pulling the mill.
