I agree!

Working on an OS Porter Mogul which I'm converting to a western style Baldwin. I can't believe I found this absolutely untouched original kit a few years ago. Every bag was still intact.

I was looking through some old magazines during the week and trying to find a certain picture. It took a while but I got her. The guy with the Harwick mentioned that he had no history on it. I was wondering, since engines go through rebuilds and slight changes, if this could have been that engine in an earlier time. If not, I wonder what ever became of Mr Burtt's engine?
Well Steve, I believe she resides in my shop right now here in Lenox IA.

LBSC Petrolea built by Nels Burtt, finished in 1948. ONels Burtt quickly sold the loco to George Murray (1908-2001) of Manchester CT who resold it to Pershing Scott (1919-2002) of Cedar Rapids IA around 1953. In 2018 I purchased this, along with many letters between Murray and Scotty.

Should have added, now resides in Lenox IA. When I purchased it, took a few hours work to clean everything and make a few repairs. This winter I made a new axle pump plunger too. Waiting on warmer weather for another test run.

That is a mighty impressive accomplishment for a teenager!
