You must have longer legs than me Unk - beer keg's a bit tall for comfort. My 12" firewood rounds are just perfect.

OK, I'm logged in now.

I would love to see some pics. In fact, I would like to build one or two for my place. Are you offering plans, if you have any?

i think the recycled pickup seat would hold up better then the bad ordered lay-z-boy but an ecclectic mix of all materials on hand would certainly create the right kind of atmosphere. i too have leggs a bit short for finding the keg comfortable and those canvas slings have an unfortunate tendency to give way from unseen rot at poorly timed moments. and i'd definately stay away from those light weight tubular fraims, be they aluminium or pvc, but everything else sounds great.
stay well and keep doing the wonderful things that you do ... ~;)

Here's the one in the radio room. Nothing fancy. You
just replace the normal roof with a piece of 1/2" plywood,
some 2" polyurethane foam and some uphostery material
like "leatherette". You'll need a couple of 1" x 1" strips
underneath to keep the lid from sliding off.

This is a real "woodside" ice-bunker reefer. I've been
waiting since September to paint it, but up here in New
Hampshire, it's just too cold. I'll finish it when it warms up.

Take the couplers and trucks off and store them inside
to keep it from rolling around. This one's empty, but
these cars really hold alot of stuff.

Put the LazyBoy on a drop center flat car, behind an electric locmotive with a fan powered off of locomotive batterys with some form of sunshade. King of the road!!!
