I bought my can of nickel-based anti seize 35 years ago and still have more than half of it left. It will probably outlive me (and I'm younger than Bill).
I can see how, if you were to exceed the melting point of nickel, it would weld things together, but that temperature is above anything I work with.
MoM may work for some applications, as the Air Force mechanic pointed out, but for probably close to 100% of what we do, copper- or nickel-based anti-seize will work.
It's cheap, readily available and reliable. I see no reason to experiment.
Now, If I was stick in the middle of nowhere and just HAD to apply anti-seize, and all there was was a bottle of MoM, then I might consider it.

MoM is free of hydrocarbons, which might be important in some applications.

Well, it *will* be free of hydrocarbons...
I was thinking more of applications involving oxidizers, though.
It also occurs to me that the nickel or copper particles in the usual antisiezes might sinter together and/or to the nut and bolt with long exposure to temperatures well below their melting points.

Understood on the oxidizers.
Used the never seize stuff in combustion sections of turbines where everything glowed very red for months on end...and hopefully nothing in my current arsenal will run that hot for that long (although I do have some Inconel and Hastelloy floating around just in case)...
