Hi Bill,
If you are going to use the LocoParts pilot truck, the hole for the axle pump needs to be off center in the base of the smokebox saddle. Mine got drilled on center and I had considered using a "W" shaped cross bar and two eccentrics to drive the pump. I got this idea after talking to Bob Grandle who works with Don. After some further discussions and reading others thoughts, my partner and I have decided to eliminate the axle pump and just go with injectors, steam pump and tender pump.
Now all I have to do is get my but back in the shop and start working on them again

Yes, I used an equalized truck, similar to LocoParts.
I changed the suspension a bit (fully equalized front to back), but that has no affect on the chassis, other than a minor change in the location of the pivot point (which you can put where you want)
I still have an axle pump, but not up front, where it is inaccessable.
