That's great news Pat
I really though that the embankments back there would be washed away.

Not if you model 1" scale. That's why I could run at PLS and in California on the same day......

Both tracks are really nice and I would encourage any of you within driving distance to visit this fine facility. Everyone I met was a delight to talk with.

No, the rest of the world is 7.25. It's just part of North America that is wide gauge(7.5) :D
Have a good one....John.

Accually we, we offer 1", 3/4" and 1/2" tracks in addition to gauge One.

Hey Matt;

1" USA is narrow gauge for the rest of the world...unless something has changed in the past few weeks.
Too many things going on to bother listing them.

Well....actually in the U.K. they don't build 1" = 1' scale models at 5" gauge....it is 1 - 1/16th inches = 1` scale. Just as 2 - 1/2" gauge is no longer 1/2" = 1' scale, it is 17/32" = 1' scale.
Nothing is ever easy or simple in this hobby....

You are correct in that the UK generally states gauge only, but other manufacturing / operating locations (Japan and Germany) call it 1". I cannot comment on Oz.

I never can seem to keep up with changes around me :-)

You are right and I do stand corrected.

This forum never ceases to amaze me. I started out showing pictures of the recent flood waters at the PLS track and it now has turned into a discussion about gauge differences in the world.

This is the very reason why I don’t post much anymore. If anyone wants to discuss gauge differences why not start your own thread.

Too many High jacks. The last eight post had to do with track gauge. What in God’s name does that have to do with flood waters!

The gage was below water? You think this chain of reasoning is too attenuated then you'd love Constitutional Law! :lol:

Conversations naturally wander, I talked to a builder tonight an we went from smokebox rings all the way to the end of the intermodal train I plan to build behind it then all the way back up to the number boards. Just a natural proclivity that makes for a horrible time when indexing... :|
