thank you all again for the kind words and support...I have to say this entire evolution has really been a serious learning experience....a challenge...and yes ,,,quite taxing...

I have tosay I have no idea how mcmaster-carr does what they do...I ordered the teflon packing and remaining o-rings at 10am this morning...and before I left at 3...they were sitting on my tool box.....it baffles me.

anyway...

I made thwe reamer guide and it works wonderfully even by hand...and as you see the first set of inlet seats are installed....holy intake valves batman....

going to see about boring three more pump bodies to tomorrow.....did not do anything after work today....there was a dress onsale at the mall that had my name on it....sorry guys.....priorities......along with an adorable pair of heels to match.

couple more photos...

evening all,

obviously did not get the things accomplished I wanted to....

altho 2 of the 6 pump bodies are bored...and the lagging sheets are on them.....final assembly will begin this week.

the remaining 4 bodies will be bored this week.

side note: I picked up the remaining 'box' of prints for a future project.
been flipping thru them casually...and now understand why it took lou S. 20 years to build the 5011 santa fe Texas.......three words...OH MY GOD. there are literally hundreds or drawings.

will take me several months just to sort out the prints and add up all the construction mods he did along the way to make it all work....so I don't have to make the same alterations along the way.

mind you...even beginning to look at these closely is still at least several years off.

Great job Pam,

If it is not too much trouble, I would love to see a photo of an "exploded" view showing us all the parts, and approximate relationship. This would be very helpful in assisting me in the decision of weather I want to build one!
