A real novice here.. Has anyone used one of those Roper Whitney deep throat rivit setters. On copper rivits. Thanks whitey

Whitey,

Yes that should work fine.

You'll have to experiment with cut off length
and your set up on some scraps.

I have a couple surplus one's I use on occasion.
An air chisel with the pressure set way down also works.

Some time back Bruce Mowbray posted a drawing for a rivet squeezer here:

I made one a little smaller as I'm using 1/16 shank rivets and it works just fine. Since i used material on hand the price was right.
