Pioneer Valley Steam-Up May 4, 5 & 6

Post by 10 Wheeler Rob » Mon Apr 23, 2012 7:41 am

We have been getting things ready for the up comming season at PVLS the last few weeks. With the early warm weather and not much rain some of us camped over last week end as well. We had to install a new water pump this spring, and about 150 feet of ground track was replaced. There is a alot more of ground track replacement planned for later on between meets this season, track pannels were made over the winter.

The HighLine track has been inspected and a few screws tighten and replaced, it apears to be good condition ready for running.

A work weekend is planned again for this weekend to finish grounds clean up, ground track inspection and repair, and other maintainence needs.

Board and Members meetings will also be held on Sunday AM. For anyone who is interested in joining this would be a good time to come and get your membership aplication in.

I would love to, but will be rather far away.

Hopefully end of the summer, latest.

Hey to everyone for me.
Too many things going on to bother listing them.

A whole canoe load of Canucks will be there. Five highline engines & engineers from MLS at last count, plus MLS member-at-large Steve B.

Are you insinuating that Steve B is putting on weight?

On a side note. It is certainly nice to see a group from one club visiting another. Just like it used to be in the early years I was told.

Every thing is ready for the meet, except a little rain is in the forcast. But at least it is not predicted to be a washout.

Some of us will be there starting Thursday morning. Looking foward to coal smoke in the hills of Southwick once a again.

See you all there,

Rob

Hi Rob
Unfortunately I won't be there. My Mom passed away Sunday night. I will definetly make it for the 60th. I 'll be looking forward to the pictures of the meet.
