I just ran across this website today. I know very little about the value of said projects, but scrolling down through the engines section proved interesting, at the minimum.
You might see something applicable to your steam locomotive.

yeah, that is fantastic! did you look at the prop they use? 150cc engine going 100MPH. WOW
