Re: Some Swiss Work
site says they have been in business 34 years building garden and steam park rr equipment, so i doubt it.
Too many things going on to bother listing them.
Re: Some Swiss Work
I think you mean SLM - which I think is still in business but under another name. They built a batch of modern oil fired n.g. rack locos in the 90's and were carrying out all sorts of improvements to a s.g. ex German "kriegslok". Just a few years ago they were considering building a batch of metre gauge 2-8-2 T's but I don't think anything has come of it yet.Loco112 wrote:Was this the Swiss Locomtive Works (SLW) of old and of rack railroad engineering fame?
I'm sure one of our Swiss members will be able to tell us more. Ray.
Re: Some Swiss Work
Balson AG was founded by the late Charles Ball and his son Charles. This firm is well known for high quality models.
The steam activities of the SLM were taken over by the DLM AG.You can find more information by making a google search "DLM AG".

Re: Some Swiss Work
I revert after looking at the subdirectory Lok im Bau (locomotives under construction):

The narrow gauge Beyer-Garratt for 7 1/4 in gauge is really impressive, especially the short, fat
boiler!
Comments from Marty would be very welcome!
