Gee Dan...that's an oldy but goody. Kind of liked the loaf a bread train tunnel and the kitchen sink full of suds that the train had to passover. But it wasn't until the flix got the "typical California Model RR Club" when I realized I saw this some 40 years ago (I think). Maybe it was a show that aired on a Disney program years ago. I particularly remember the "all throttles locked on full" as an electrical junction box under the RR shorted out. I can relate to that...don't know how many hours I've spent under railroads pulling and soldering wires (sometimes it pays to be short). Good thing most live steam railroading is "above ground"!

What happened to the Dancing Girls scene in Frank's Hobby Shop? I guess they figured it was too corny and removed it from it from their edition of this old classic that has an almost NASA like, Apollo 13, ending.

We showed this in 16mm to the Model Railroad Club and some classes at the school where I taught. You could get it on loan from Model Railroader Magazine for free in the late 70's and early 80's.

It later came out in VHS. I have that complete VHS version, plus an earlier version, that was much cruder.

The original narrator was the late actor Hans Conried, I believe. It does not sound like his voice on their edition.

Dan, your find has also been edited. This seems to be the way most video are treated on You Tube, chop them up for time or content.

I just looked on Amazon, and here is the original(?) on DVD, hopefully they have not changed the content:
