D&L Shops - 1.5 inch vender

Post by Mark Landgraf »

Can anyone provide contact info for this company, or there last known address and name of the proprietor?

They do, or did (back in the mid 1990s), manufacturer 6 wheel Buckeye trucks, AAR type A powered diesel trucks, and a Westinghouse cross compound pump.

I'm interested in a set of the Buckeye trucks.

Thanks,

if you have no luck with your request, you may want to consider Jim Kreider's Buckeye truck complete with brake rigging if you require it.

I am aware of the Kreider offering. I know the quality the Jim offers is exceptional, however, I just can't handle $5500 he wants for the truck castings.

I was hoping that someone has an extra set (probably not Kreider's) that is gathering dust under the bench that could be had for reasonable money.

Mark,

D&L shops was Derald Kraft. He was a long time member of NEOLS.

he passed away a year ago.

Harry

I think mountain car bought his buckeye truck design years ago.

Check out Tom Bee's website. I have 3 pairs of his and they are very nice for the price.

Mark,

I think Wayne Godshall has the patterns now. I talked to him today and sent him some pictures of mine to see if they match.

I'll let you know what I hear. I asked about availability and he's real busy at the moment. But I expressed interest in buying 2 pairs if they are the D&L trucks.

I'll post a picture of them when I get home. Stupid windows phone isn't able to add pictures to a post.

This fall some time I hope to start completely rebuiling and making new patterns for the Little Engines 6 wheel Buckeye trucks...these were good strong solid trucks but the patterns are shot

keep watching

Paul has 2 sets of the Tom Bee Buckeyes under both of his engines

I stopped by Wayne Godshall's shop last week, and yes, he does have the patterns for the 6 wheel Buckeye trucks. He did say that the patterns could also be used for 8 wheel Buckeye trucks. I guess if you're interested, you could contact him and inquire about availability.
