Standard HT stoker
Standard HT stoker
Now the Berkley fire door is underway for the 25NC, I need to fill the rest of the opening up. I could make the fire door bigger or put a blanking plate where the distribution table fitted.
I would prefer to fit a dummy delivery tube that exists out of the cab floor and fits to the boiler. Anyone got a drawing I could have or an idea where I could get one. I am pursuing the Manchester museum of science and industry as Beyer Peacock sold the Standard brand under licence here. The ones on the N&W HS are close but do not give enough detail.
The locomotive is 2" scale so nothing cast in the 1.1/2" world suites.

Mike,
The parts look superb, as I said the locomotive is 2” scale from 3ft 6” gauge so your parts are too small, unfortunately.

Re: Standard HT stoker
I stand corrected after modifying my search criteria at the NWHS I came up with a couple of hundred drawings not 4 this time.
Eight of which are just what the doctor ordered
Happy, I won’t have a big gap below the fire door now.

The last bunch of drawings I got from NWHS were scans, copied to a disk. If yours aren't too big, maybe they can email the drawings to you.
Both I and another person who sent disks of drawings to the U.K. using regular mail recently have had them lost in the mail. The last ones I sent were successful via priority mail, but it cost about $20 in postage.

Hi Jim
These castings are great, good work!!
I wish we had parts like that here in Germany.
We have good castings, no question, but nice US
stuff is very rare. Have much fun with it!
Regards
Chris

I don’t quite know where the time has went but the 2” scale RP models are finally ready to go to the foundry after I get back from the windy city next week. The standard HT-1 detail all came from the NWHS and the Berkley fire door was a mixture of GA and photographs from the North British drawing archive held in Glasgow.
I take no credit for the work all the clever stuff was done by Phil Monsbourgh who generally is my go to man when my SW skills hit the buffers.
As a guide for scale the parts are all sitting on a 10" tablet

I have not been able to update the website for the best part of 18 months so have been unable to load images and link to them. But I do remember asking on here about both the standard HT stoker and Berkley fire door.
At long last I have found an alternative to Dreamweaver 8 which no longer works with W10 so now have somewhere once again to link too.
So the work has now progressed to casting both items.
