Help with Acu-Rite VUE DRO

Post by skeeljc »

I just installed an Acu-Rite VUE DRO on my Enco mill. It has SENC 150 glass scales.

Is there a way to change the direction of the X scale? Currently the absolute readout increases when the table is moved from left to right. I would like the X scale to increase in value when the table is moved from right to left.

The X scale is mounted on the back side of the table (the scale is mounted to the table and the read head is attached to the saddle). I suppose I could swap ends on the scale and make a spacer to attach the read head to the saddle but I would think the software in the VUE would accommodate such a change.

Yes you can. It is in the manual but I don't have it in front of me at the moment. It's under the "encoder setup" title.

I found it. I did not realize there was a second page on the encoder setup menu.

Thanks for the help.
