Light machines CNC router

Post by Sawdusty »

A friend of mine recently acquired a light machines CNC router. He is in need of the interface card and possibly a PC to run the machine. Nice machine with ballscrew bearing units, vintage is around 1995. He bought the machine mainly for his grandkids, something they can learn on, and he doesn't want to put a pile of money into it. Any leads or suggestions would be appreciated

What kind of motors, stepper or servo? And do you have the motor drivers and power supplies?

I use an older windows XP PC that has parallel interface (old printer port) and a cnc4pc interface card (BoB) to control my stepper drivers. I believe the current model is a C10.
