Step2Linear Adapters Available

Post by Marty_Escarcega »

I just posted four of these adapters in the classifieds forum. If you have a machine that has servo amplifiers that take +/- 0-10VDC input (very popular on older machines), and your servo motors have encoders on them or you can fit encoders to them, they will allow you to drive your servo motors with Step and Direction input. This closes the loop between the adapter, servo amp and the motor. (Not the controller)

It allows you to refit a more modern controller (like Mach3, Flashcut and others) that output step and direction to your existing analog servo amplifiers, provided they have or you can fit them with encoders.

They are actually pretty cool and can save you time and money retrofitting a machine without having to change the motors and servo amplifiers. (Provided you know what you are doing electrically! :-)
