Has anyone out there converted a Wells Index mill with Bandit stepper motors to Mach 3 with new motor drivers ? I'm in the process of doing this and need some help in hooking up the limit switches etc.

There has been recent sentiment that knowing a user's location is important.
I agree, you really should update your profile to include your location.

Did you have specific questions about how/where to hook the switches, or ????

I wanted to find out if anyone had made this conversion and could supply me with any problems or wiring diagrams. I'm using Gecko drives and PMDX boards. I have the origional installation manual and schematics for the Bandit control.

If you are using MACH3 for the software, then read the manual. It will walk you through. Depending on your break out board and how many inputs you have, you can assign each axis limit switch to its own input or you can series all the limit switches together using Normally closed switches and use one input.

I am using MACH 3. I think I can use the limit switch wiring as is, on the Bandit.
