So, Jeff are you planning on building a larger engine for yourself?

Hi Jeff,

I think I met you out at the Riverside Live Steamers fall meet last October. I was one of the folks from the Southern California Live Steamers in Torrance we had a large Pacific locomotive out there running around. Think I have a few pictures of you riding your Chloe.

You and your Dad should come out and visit us some time. We are small but it is still fun to steam around the tracks. Check us out at http://www.southerncalifornialivesteamers.com

Jeff! Horray.

Jeff knows how to fire 'em good, and always has a face streaked with soot to prove it at the end of the day. Any time someone has a problem firing their Chloe, Gene Allen says "Go talk to Jeff Tolan!"

Welcome to the online maelstrom.

P.S. our Chloe is on schedule to be finished late spring / early summer....

Hi Jeff! Glad to see you out here - enjoy the ride! By the way, I got the picture you and your Dad sent me - Thanks! My wife has it hanging on the refrigerator.

Jeff, welcome aboard! As bobb said:
I am glad to see people of your age participate in the hobby.
, I am glad to see younger folks out there having fun.

It would be awesome to meet you in person, but living completely across the country doesn't help (PA -> CA). I hope you enjoy this forum as much as I do! :D

Welcome to the list Jeff.

I know you from Ridgecrest. I run my O-4-0 Plymouth switcher there - the red one - Gecko Belt & Sandy Flats RR.

Cheers,

Jeff: Steam trials will be up in the South SF Bay. Idea is to git-r-done and tested/debugged in time for Train Mountain.

Here's some pics of you from various places: :)

The kerchief is probably a good idea for coal firing. Don't want an early case of black lung. :)
