I rack the BXAs using dowel rods in plywood treated with Linseed Oil.

The shaper tool is not used on the lathes. :-)

Very nice looking setup harold. I wonder if a similar setup could be easily made with a mill+rotary table.

I like the wooden holders myself.. im kinda worryed those L brackets might score the surface of the dovetail and that might score the toolpost. I guess if they are aluminum its likey OK, but steel id worry about..

I thought I'd scored with 12 Dorian toolpost holders on my newly aquired lathe... but.. :wink:

Does anyone know if the CDCO/Phase2 type CXA holders fit the wedge Dorian Tool posts? If i need more,,, I'm not spending $89-$140 each on the OEM..

The Aloris type holders will fit on the Dorian post.
