Thanks, upon a closer look I can see that it is at least set up to machine , however I don't see the chuck spinning and I don't see any chips. . Please excuse my pitiful attempt at humor.

Here is my pre war German lathe manufactured by Ludwig Loewe Company (long defunct) just after being loaded into my pickup via a rented forklift.

Still in the process of cleaning and repainting. My goal is to transform it from an extremely heavy paperweight into a functioning metal lathe.

New guy here and here is my "new"/used lathe
Just about got it up to speed after getting a friend to "rebuild" the tailstock due to prior abuse

Are the dials metric on that, or imperial? (I'm guessing metric)

a 12x36, but pictures can decieve. Looks like your well stocked on
ammo too.!

Frejoth 12X36.........both a 3 and 4 jaw chuck and steady and follower rests. The tailstock was abused and needed to be rebuilt (a friend machinist locally helped me and taught me some too). The tool holder was also hosed, so I just replaced it with a quick change one. Ammo cans are storage containers for.......ammo. Dials are both metric and SAE? Also got some tools/cutters with lathe. Just finished shop classes at Pima College (at 63 years young) with an "A" (guess you can teach an old dog.......). Now time to spend my retired time doing neat stuff that I wanted to do all my life. Hope to "pay it forward" to friends that don't have the tools/skills I have. NOW is the time I will learn by doing and reinforcing what I learned in the last year.

Here's one of mine...
Don't have pics of the other two at the moment!

It is a Myford ML7.
Original paint and in excellent condition!
Bought from a guy that used to make trains.
The other two that i have are a South Bend 9A and a small Taig.

Just finished the bench and concrete mount for the myford.
The difference it has made is amazing!
Really enjoying the lathe now, i used to hate it because of a light weight bench.
