milling table advice

as is commonly the case my compond is way lower than my mill. my question is .. do I
get a small milling table .. then add a vice like the one laying there ...

or ..

do I get a really big ass vice and just bold it to the compond.

Yes.

You can get a riser block that lifts the vice, 4" or 5". What I did was to buy a tilt table which does dual duty but has to be carefully leveled after using it on an angle.

For a quick job you can take light cuts with the quill extended, but it's not as rigid. And of course, for larger objects (at least 3" tall) you simply omit the riser block.

It would be nice if these things could lower the column another 3" or 4".

What model is the 3 in 1? I have never seen one like that. I know it's off topic but I'm curious.
