How could you have a T&C grinder and not use it? It is far more useful than just sharpening tools. I had my inexpensive Delta Toolmaker for 20 years before I inherited a mill. I am learning that both are important, but one keeps the other's cutters sharp and working properly, and the other helps make really nice fixtures for both. I would recommend fixing the T&C and putting it to work.
Well, the principals of some of the tool grinding are rather intimidating and I'm missing the manual for the machine (and maybe some components). It's an import and identical to one that JET sold for a while. I'm going to include a picture since I'm not sure of what I have. Got it and a magnetic chuck to do some surface grinding with, that I can understand.

I saw one like this at the estate sale last year and it had a tool holder for end mills, that I don't have. Something I should get since I'm now getting into milling and eventually must resharpen some.
Drill bits, I learned that as an apprentice 50 years ago and mostly free handed them. Now that I have much larger bits I got a "The Champ" and it can handle large bits to 3" but cuts in facets rather than sweeping that I was taught. Seems to work well once I get the preliminary set ups down. I now have a large collection of large MT bits at a good price, mostly because they need sharpening..

Lathe tool bits, I kinda grind by following the angle of the last guy or use inserts. Right now I'm on a quest for knowledge on shaper tool sharpening, especially for my BP vert. slotter.
