I wonder what boy scouts used before plastics were invented? C'mon; scouts are supposed to be innovative. Next thing, they will want is a generator to run the microwave. :)

Every year, we cook Thanksgiving dinner for 100 people out in the field. Five turkeys, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, gravy, other side dishes and three different kinds of pie.

Most of it cooked with wood and charcoal (including the birds and the pies), a few things with gas stoves.
