7.5" Gauge 4-6-2 Pacific For Sale

Post by BAdams »

Patrick Durand of Wasilla Alaska has just lowered the price on his 7.5" gauge 4-6-2 Pacific listed on the Riverside LIve Steamers "For Sale" webpage to $15,000.00.

He does note that the engine has been stored and though it runs on air, it does need a boiler rebuild.

As this Floyd Epperson built locomotive has been referenced several times in the past here on the Chaski board, I thought it might be of interest to a few of you.

More details and larger pictures can be found here:

just something to think about, $15k is not realistic on something that needs a new boiler.
If it is not live steam. its not worth it.

I would agree.

For comparison, here's a Little Engines Pacific with a boiler installed as part of a complete rebuild in 2000 for about $20k:

And that one is all together, running and with a current hydro.
