Jim,

Yes, unfortunately, PVLS members received an email notification of Phil's passing today. No further details were given. I had only known Phil for about a year but grew to be really fond of him. He was a great guy.

Jim,
still no details,
Kit felt good enough to come to the club on Friday, so Phil drove down. He seemed good, impish self as usual, while I was talking to Kit in the car before they left he got out and handed me their dinner money for the 60th meet, told me to get up to the house to have some brass and whatnot from his shop this week.
Knew him when I was a kid, rode behind the Timken, that's when the bug bit, I'm going to miss him an awful lot.
We all will, a real character, tremendous talent, great man, the best of friends. Lucky we had him,
Paul

Phil Wunder Passed On Sunday 7/15/2012

Phil Wunder, long time member of Pioneer Valley Live Steamers, passed on suddenly yesterday. I wish his family and friends peace and love during this time of loss.

Some us had just seen him at the club Friday. He was prolific and master model builder in live steam railroading, boats, marine models and many other things. He always had a warm smile, was very active and pasionate about life. All that knew him will miss him dearly.

May God welcome him into the kindom of eternal life with open arms,

Rob

Carol and I were looking forward to seeing Phil at PVLS up coming meet in August. We will surely miss him. Our condolences to Kit and the family. He used to come up to Montreal years ago.
