Can any one steer me in the right direction to aquire drawings for a Elesco feedwater heater to go on a 1.5" J3-A NYC Hudson.
I am in Australia so we have not got great access to drawings of American Locomotives and accessories.
Many thanks
Garry

Re: Drawings for Elesco Feedwater Heater
See attached for scans from the 1929 "Elesco Locomotive Feed Water Heaters: Operation and Maintenance" booklet. No dimensions, but they should help out. I'll look in some other references to see what upgrades Elesco, ALCO, or NYC did to fit the time of a J3 Hudson (1937 and later).
I had to compress the picture files to fit the forum restrictions, which resulted in some loss of fidelity. Will have to add more scans in next post.
Hope this helps your project out and I'd love to see photos of your J3 Hudson!
Take care,
Joe

Here's some scans from the Locomotive Cyclopedia 1944 edition. Again I had to compress the pictures. If you want the higher resolution scans, I'll have to send them via personal email.
