I am still planning on having the train set at the next triennial. I am thinking it may be a good idea to install a propane line that passes throw the locomotive to feed a lead locomotive. that way we can double head with out needing a fuel car between the locomotives.
three 20 lbs bottles should support two locomotives.
If it is not live steam. its not worth it.

Mission accomplished! Very nice.

As a long time advocate of material choices, what held your decision in using steel in constructing your train cars?

Hi John,
it comes down to cost and ease of Tig welding steel.
i had all the flat parts laser cut.
the cut sheet
the cut sheet
as picked up
as picked up
If it is not live steam. its not worth it.

They look awesome! Might just have to go that laser cut route for our tender....

I'll have to make an effort to get to the club and take a ride the next time you are there with the whole consist!

Thanks for the kind words. laser cutting is a nice way to go.
i am planning on attending at least one day at the upcoming meet sept 2 - 4th
likely will be the sept 2. at this point. not sure if fall projects will allow me to play all three days
