ok, but assumption have been made here, the line is post "control valve" of some type. if this is in uncontrolled area then i would have great concern. but in my case this line is post throttle. I have blown the steam like off once cause i didnt tight the clamps. nothing but a small steam show. closed the throttle tighten the clamp and continued the demo.
If it is not live steam. its not worth it.

as long as it is a valve that you can always get to quickly and shut off fast, that's cool and at most a bit embarrassing - I have NEVER left a clamp loose (this week...)...
reaching in around a blown out water glass and twisting a valve handle 3 turns is another matter....
which is why many full size locos had blow out preventers (high flow stop check valves) installed.
