So are you ready for the Triennial?
Answers:
A. Yup. Loaded and locked, ready to go.
B. No but will make it after at least one all-nighter.
C. It's hopeless. Activate Plan B.
C ya there!

just need to load the new tool boxes, make sure i have all the items i need to fire and run the locomotive.
its a weird feeling to not be scrambling on load up day.. so that tells me i am forgetting something

D. Not going.
Having attended two past TM Triennials, I decided to stay home this time, now that they have all the "storage tracks full."
Too many people for me. I'll attend the following Ops meeting.
Then again, maybe I'll drive down to the Tri for a day of visiting, just to be amazed at the gathering.

Re: Are you ready?
I went to the narrow gauge meet and missed all the crowd...……..

Shhhh, don't tell anyone about the ops meet, let's keep it our little secret. It was already pretty crowded last year. We had four trains waiting to switch at Phillips at one point. I'm probably an A-minus, I still have to pack but I have spousal-approved funds to spend at the vendor barn. The justification if any of you want to use it was 'it saves on shipping'.
For those that enjoyed the El Rancho restaurant by Jeldwen, it has moved into K Falls, expanded and upscaled. It's out on S 6th St just before Harbor Freight.

I believe Triennial burn out and the heat had a lot to do with that

Re: Are you ready?
Yeah Chris, you're probably right. Triennial years kind of warp things.

Re: Are you ready?
There's a Harbor Freight in K Falls!!?? AWESOME!
So far I've got two plastic tarps, 8 multimeters, five sets of screwdrivers, five tape measures and Thirty Eight flashlights! I'm going for 40 (but I don't plan to stop there....) YeeHa!
BTW, I'm loaded and locked. Leaving Thursday and looking to avoid the coming triple-digit temps here (NWS says 104° on Saturday). Hope y'all have a safe trip.

Will do.
I also wish to direct our Australian visitors Phil and LIz Wooley to you at the Tri, with your permission.
They are spending three nights with us before heading south to Chilo.
Wonderful Folks, and great Live Steamers from north of Sydney, AU.
