RR Coupler for Trailer hitch?

Post by Kimball McGinley »

Does anybody know where I can get a knuckle coupler to fit in my 2" receiver on my SUV? Just a decorative item, plastic would be fine. Prefer larger size, like 2-1/2" scale. Thanks.

FYI... I got one a few years ago as a gift. It's really cute & funny the first few times you walk back to the truck in a parking lot and see it back there. Not so funny the few times you don't see it and walk around the back of the truck a little too closely.

Definitely an improvement vs. walking into a greasy trailer hitch ball, when wearing khaki trousers. Don’t ask me why I know this!

Kimball,

You may want to try a phone order or at least talk to them. Schrader has sold the business and his railroad if I remember correctly. I always loved getting his catalog and seeing all the great things they sold, but you couldn't find them anywhere else. You'll want to make sure you can still order them.

Good Luck, and please let us know if you get your NEW trailer hitch.

Thank You,
Terry

...or doing what I did, banging a shin on the hitch ball then jumping around on the other leg like a darn fool, stumbling and breaking an ankle and spending a week in a splint then five more weeks in a walking boot.

Thanks everyone! I just want an answer to my wife's "SeaRay" hitch cover... A bit spendy, maybe I can carve one from wood?

Carve one from wood, use it as a pattern, cast it in aluminum and sell a few.

Make them for both 2" and 1-1/4" receivers.

I'm a bit late with a reply, but you better lock them on or someone will steal them like they did mine. had it mounted with a fine tread bolt and a regular nut, wrench tight. They must have liked it and gone back to get a wrench. You definitely couldn't remove it with bare hands.
