Gear sources

I want to see if I can get a set of gears for my dividing head. There are 12 gears, and for obvious reasons, I don't want to spend $24.99 on each.

Does anyone have a cheap source for gears?

The gears are 24dp and have 24,28,32,40,44,48,56,64,72,86 and 100 teeth.

Yes, I did. Not a lot of selection in the sizes I need, but their prices are lower than some of the other vendors.

I might have to do something like go with brass instead of steel to get a better selection. It's not like I'm going to be running these things 24x7.

Check the eBay vendors. They will be 20* pressure angle and metric module.

The few gears I have bought for the ATLAS lathe have been from Boston Gear. Good stuff but pricey even in the small sizes.

A friend who has the same dividing head, and whom I trust to know how to measure them, says that they are 14-1/2⁰ PA, 24 DP.

The tooth counts are 24, 28, 32, 40, 44, 48, 56, 64, 72, 86 and 100 (there's an extra 24 attached to an arm).

For metric gears, I found this shop in Netherlands; https://www.mechanicdrive.com/
They ship worldwide. I bought a change gear from them, they were fast.

I found the metric 'module' system confusing, because I couldn't find any info on how it's measured [all online info seems to be American and inch based].
So after much measuring and head scratching, it seems that the module number is millimeters, but the number corresponds with the working diameter [to the center of the tooth].
So the center to center shaft distance of 2x module 1 100 teeth gears is 100mm. A 100 + a 50 would be 75mm. Measuring the distance between the teeth doesn't get you anywhere.
It's confusing at first, but then it makes sense; the distance between the shafts is what we need to know for engineering.
