Pretty good deal for hobbyists

Hi all,

I recently placed an order with Xometry who sells 25 lbs of 6061 AL drops for $55. Shipping is free! Comes in ~18" X 18" X 5" box. I got some nice 3/8 to 6" dia round ~ 10" long except for the 6" dia piece and 1/8" to 1.25" bar stock up to ~ 4" wide and ~ 5" long. 1 round is 2.25 X ~ 10" long.

Pretty good deal in my opinion but there is no place that sells drops around here. Wouldn't be much use if you are looking for a specific size but great for guys like me that want to take perfectly good stock and turn it into a pile of worthless chips.

They sell cut lengths of whatever you want too but I didn't check pricing.

I don't see anything on their web site (but there's lots of other pretty cool stuff).

Remnants. I was looking for dom or the other type tube of larger diameters. This stuff is useful for sleeves or bushings when at least one diameter is known. Looks expensive these days but imagine coring out solid stock. A different bundle of mechanical tube of short lengths would be good too. I'm already set with that but it could have been better.
