I googled "miniature strap hinges" and found quite a selection. Also, "dollhouse hinges" gives results.

Check with Jack Bodenmann, he has lots of small detail parts in his collection of parts for sale.

Does Jack have a website or catalog of the parts he offers?

You might try here. https://www.micromark.com/search?keywords=hinges
Not sure if these are what you're looking for.

Jack makes beautiful stuff, but not much is actually posted on his website. And his contact email there is fubar.

So, I’m looking for strap hinges like you see on gates, tapered, but more narrow. 1/4” wide, 1-1/4 to 1-1/2” long total from end to end.

I have seen Micromark’s stuff, and the ones sold by Hobby Lobby, etc. None are exactly what I need, and many are brass plated. I know how that stuff will end up a few years from now.

And yes, I’ve seen Jack’s treatise on how to make your own, but I don’t have a mill to cut the hinge gaps once the tubing is soldered to the flat. I’ve done it before with a file. I was hoping to avoid that chore.

Why not just send Jack a personal message here on Chaski with your needs. He usually responds in a day or two at the most.

I had the same issue, Could not find what I was looking for. So this is how I made mine. I found a mini hinge that was the right width for the hinge, cut off 2/3 of on side, the using .025 brass strip cut and sanded to shape then silver soldered it onto the cut side of the hinge. Kind of a quick and dirty way to do it but the results were good. The pictures just show the backside so its easy to see how I did it.

I make a strap hinge 1 1/2" overall.
3/8" wide.
The hinge is supplied with very small brass pins that can be used as rivets or nails.
I also supply a butt hinge that measures 1/2"overall
7/16" wide
This hinge is also supplied with mounting hardware.
