3/4” Scale Trucks

Post by jcurioli »

Does anyone know of a manufacturer of 3/4 scale trucks or have a pair for sale? I would like to build some rolling stock and a tender for my locomotive. Thank you

Jim Abrahams has very nice trucks.
You can find reference to them here if you search.
Too many things going on to bother listing them.

Search this site when you build them make sure that you go with the ball bearings. Someone posted a link to a cheap $1 or so ball bearing. You put about 3-4 of them in each hole and they greatly reduce the friction over the friction bearings giving a small engine a lot more pulling capability. These were the old Billy Vanbrocklin design and were't really made to accommodate roller bearings back in the day. But they are a very nice and affordable truck.

Use roller blade bearings...nice and loose and cheap

When they get rough, and they will, you toss them away without regret.
