Boring head taper attachment

Post by Mike_W » Thu Mar 23, 2006 3:10 pm

I made this for my Clausing. I used the end of a pushrod for the center. Since it is hollow, I put a grease fitting on the adapter that goes into the boring head.

Arrrggghhh!!! I could have bought another boring head, the same size as the one I use on my mill. It went cheap on Ebay.
Thought "What on earth would I use it for".
I forgot all about using one on the lathe for tapers!
So Mike...what kind of pushrod end did you use. Looks a little bigger than the ones I have lol

Mike...Doh...ok I get it now. I thought the larger diameter piece behind the center was part of the pushrod.
Thanks!
