Roll Call on Bill Van Brocklin locomotives

Post by Pat Fahey » Sat Nov 30, 2013 11:55 pm

Hi All
I just recently wrote up an article on Bill Van Brocklin for our club newsletter , I also did submit the same article to Live Steam Magazine . The article is just a general article about Bill . One part of the article has all the locomotives that Bill Built by the number . Billy did complete 37 locomotives , and did have at least 2 chassis under construction .
So that got me wondering , where are the rest of his locomotives , I do know of at least eight locomotives here in New England . So where have the rest gone , if you would like to add to the list , all I would like is this .
What state is locomotive in Texas, etc
What number to do have #1 2 3 etc.
What is the locomotive , American , Ten wheeler etc.
As you can see I do not need your name , or where engine is located .

The list is for my own personal records , also if you wish to add , you can send me a personal mail , so you won't have to post on website . And I will reply back , in the Subject Area , Van Brocklin Loco .
I would like to Thank you to those that would like to do this , Pat Fahey Milford, Mass
Also I did own (2) of Bill's engines # 18 4-6-0 and # 20 4-8-0 Camelback .

Pat:I own #5 which Bill build back in 1956.He build this little 4-4-0 american at the same time
When LBSC started publishing the drawings & Construction series in model engineering over in England.only difference
Was that #5 had outside valve gear, and a fire Box twice as long as the Virginia ,it is also my understanding that #5 was finished well before LBSC engine was completed . Today # 5 runs on the Chipmunk Valley RR here in Eden NY ,3-4 time a year, equipped with a tender pump, axle pump, and a injector, she still runs like a dream

I don't have one of his locomotive, but I do have one of his steam water pumps.
I don't see any electricity in there.
